Who we are?

Relève Leadership

From inspiration to action

Ten years serving youth

Relève Leadership is a non-profit organization founded in 2016, committed to training and supporting a new generation of young leaders.

For ten years, it has worked to train young people who are more aware of societal challenges, more effective as citizens, and more engaged in their community’s development.

What sets Relève Leadership apart is a pedagogical approach firmly centered on experience, participation, and action. The organization doesn’t just pass on knowledge — it trains young people who can think, propose, and act concretely in their own environments.

Mission

Train · Inspire · Mobilize

Relève Leadership's mission is to train a new generation of young people who are aware of societal challenges, inspire them to become competent and responsible citizens, and mobilize them for development and good governance in their communities.

Vision

Every young person, an actor for tomorrow

Our vision is to build a society where every young person feels legitimate, equipped, and inspired to shape the future of their community — and to make Relève Leadership a reference in youth civic leadership training.

Values

Our core values

A set of values that guide all our interventions and programs.

Civic engagement

We believe every young person has the capacity and responsibility to contribute actively to society. Engagement isn't an abstract ideal — it's a daily practice we cultivate through every one of our programs.

Collaborative leadership

We value collective intelligence far above individual performance. True leadership is built through dialogue, listening, and shared work.

Liability

We train citizens who understand how institutions work and take part in them in an informed and engaged way.

Ethics and integrity

We act with transparency and consistency in every one of our actions. Ethics isn't a constraint — it's a foundation of our organizational identity.

Inclusion and equity

The leadership we teach is a service to the community, never a privilege reserved for a few. Our programs are designed to be accessible to all young people, whatever their background.

Approach

Three core pillars

Relève Leadership's work is built on three fundamental, complementary pillars.

01

Pillar 1

Train

Pass on knowledge and build civic and leadership skills in young people, using participatory methods.

02

Pillar 2

Transform

Spark awareness and a shift in mindset among participants. It’s not just about learning — it’s about becoming an agent of change.

03

Pillar 3

Engage

Support young people as they carry out concrete initiatives serving their community, giving them the tools, network, and backing they need to move from idea to action.

Strategy

Our strategic pillars

Relève Leadership's program is built on three complementary pillars: Youth, Leadership, and Governance.

J

Youth pillar

The Youth pillar recognizes that young people aren’t tomorrow’s leaders — they are full actors today, capable of contributing positively to their environment when they have the spaces and tools to do so.

L

Leadership pillar

Cet axe est consacré au développement des compétences de leadership chez les jeunes. Relève Leadership oeuvre à former des leaders capables d’influencer positivement leur communauté, en mettant l’accent sur des dimensions essentielles :

  • Ethical and responsible leadership
  • Decision-making in complex contexts
  • Communication and influence
  • Collective intelligence and teamwork
  • The ability to initiate and carry impactful projects
G

Governance pillar

À travers cet axe, Relève Leadership vise à renforcer la compréhension et la participation des jeunes aux mécanismes de gouvernance locale et nationale :

  • Explain how public institutions work
  • Promote active citizenship
  • Encourage participation in decision-making
  • Build a culture of transparency, accountability, and answerability

This pillar aims to bridge the gap that often separates young people from institutions, giving them the keys to understand, challenge, and influence the decisions that affect them.
